February 2021!
Goodness! Time is flying by. This month the kids started back to school since Craig and I are now fully vaccinated. Things are slowly returning back to normal now that we're not managing full-time child care, BUT we've already had three illnesses (stomach bug and colds).
Ben's really enjoying being back in school. He's made friends with a girl named Elliott - he says he likes her because she's nice :). He's still a character and is getting really good at mimicking things that Craig and I do/say. He told us once that he couldn't think of something because his "brain cells weren't working". That's definitely come out of my mouth once or twice. Ben's really getting into music - he has Craig and I play songs in the car and is very particular about what he likes. Some of his favorites right now are House of the Rising Sun by Doc & Richard Watson (he says they sound like PawPaw), Soul Meets Body by Death Cab for Cutie, Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright, and Under the Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers. He also loves watching a PBS documentary about the Colorado River - he's very concerned about it drying up (as he should be!!!).
Nora's an equally silly kid. When she wants attention she crawls up to us and rams her head into our legs like a cat. She can say mama, dada, baba, and cat and will also stick her tongue out on command. She's cruising really well and can stand by herself for 5-8 seconds. She doesn't seem to care much about trying to walk because she gets around so fast by crawling. Her favorite TV commercial is the Arby's roast beef sandwich one - "one roast beef sandwich, two roast beef sandwich, three roast beef sandwich...!). She always stops whatever she is doing to watch it when it's on. We're not sure if she likes the song or if we're not feeding her enough roast beef at home :). She's also started dancing to music this month!
