January 2021!
Is it February already??? Whew! January was a busy one - the semester started up at ASU and Craig and I both got our first doses of the COVID vaccine. We've been on wagon rides through the neighborhood, to the zoo, drove to see snow and had lots of play time at home while we wait for COVID cases to drop.
Both kiddos are doing really well! Nora is still as adventurous as ever and Ben is as silly as ever. Nora is now cruising along the sides of tables, the sofa, etc. She's trying to say words like Mama, bottle, and Dada. She turned 8 months old on Jan 11th. Ben is fun, but very very melodramatic. He always makes overly-dramatic faces when he's asking a question, telling a story or expressing his opinions.
Nora-isms:
- When we get her up from her naps she leans towards the door and points like "ONWARD NOBLE STEED!!!"
- Rubbing blankets/towels she finds on her cheek to "test them out". She LOVES blankets.
- Laying her head on any pillow that finds itself on the floor.
- Trying to look at everything upside down.
- Kicking feet while excited.
Ben-isms:
- Playing out scenarios as "rock-climber dog"
- Being scared of Nora when she tries to get his toys - he'll seriously scream and run away from her as if she's going to destroy them. I don't know where he got his fear of baby drool.
- LOVES Shake Shack burgers with pickles only.
- Wanting to take care of Nora - he likes to share his food at dinner (he super careful about making the food small enough for her) and feed her bottles. Sadly he hasn't tried to change her diaper yet :)
