March 2023!!!
March was tough because of some illnesses, but we made the most of it! Ben developed HSP after having strep throat in February. The condition caused him to develop small bruise-like marks all over his body and would cause random swelling mostly in his joints and neck. He was in a lot of pain at the start of the month and had to take some time off from school since he couldn't walk. After Ben's HSP improved a little, Craig took Ben to Houston to visit with Nonna. Ben did pretty well while there and had a great time exploring the beach and nature center with Nonna.
While Ben and Craig were in Houston, Nora and I conducted a culinary tour of Tempe. I took her to try veggie sushi, Chinese, Thai, Indian and Ethiopian food. I think her favorite were Ethiopian and Thai. She seems to like mildly spicy food :)
Ben's HSP is expected to last at least a month, but thankfully the worst seems to be over! We did our best to help him rest and recover. Unfortunately he developed strep throat again - his pediatrician thinks it's possible that he's a carrier.

Trying strawberry boba milk and lo mein!

Adventures in Houston with Nonna! Ben helped identify and rescue a caterpillar, experienced a sandstorm at the beach, and flew a drone!
Together again! We went straight from the airport to Shake Shack. Ben brought home some lizards for Nora, which we had to feed, of course :)

Celebratory root beer floats. Dad's favorite dessert :)
