September 2022!
The semester is in full swing so (of course) I'm a bit delayed in posting! Ben's loving kindergarten. He started chess club and seems to love that, too! He's been practicing with us and played in his first tournament. He did pretty well - If I remember correctly he won his first game and lost his second. He's also been writing tons of books - usually 4-6 page stories about random stuff. I'll see if he will let me post a few in next month's blog :). Ben's finally moved up to a booster seat and is thrilled to be able to get himself in and out of the car without help (so are we!). Not to be outdone, Nora is now climbing in and out of her car seat by herself. Nora's finally out of a crib and into a toddler bed. She did very well with the transition (thank goodness) and it's nice that she can come get us in the morning when she's ready (as opposed to yelling "MOM!" at the top of her lungs).
Both kiddos got COVID and flu shots this month. Nora takes shots like a champ. Ben, not so much. Nora got her COVID shot before Ben and told him "It doesn't hurt really much. Don't be scared." Pretty sure my heart melted.
This month Grandma visited to help us out while Craig was out of town. We had lots of fun with her, although was still too hot to spend much time outside. We also got to hang out at the Desert Botanical Gardens with Ben's friend, Max and his family!
