January 2022!
Whelp, I'm starting 2022 out by running super late on our monthly updates. C'est la vie. We kept the kids home through January to get through the Omicron surge. It was a tough month at home since our semester started. We took advantage of the cooler weather and got down to Tucson to visit Aunt Debbie and Uncle Joe. In Tucson we explored the Sonoran Desert Museum, where the kids loved hummingbird habitat and prairie dog exhibit, and the Pima Air and Space Museum. In Phoenix we were able to take a few hikes and visit the zoo. All in all, we were able to spend a lot of time outside, which was good for our collective souls :).
Nora's a sweet girl who's learning new words every day. She calls raisins "purple peas" (she came up with that on her own), guacamole "yummy 'mole", and blueberries "belu-bees". She asks for all three nearly every day. She calls dinosaurs "yawrs" and enjoys telling us no so much that she draws the word out so it sounds like "nouuuuuuuuuuupe!". Also, she doesn't clean up her toys, she "bea's" them up :).
Ben is still a silly kid who loves nothing more than to entertain us. This month he started saying "also me" instead of "me, too". Example Ben phrasing: "Nora wants to eat a doughnut. Also me." He's also started saying "for real guys", which is something he MUST have heard at school. LOL. He likes to remind us that his teacher, Miss Liz (who he loves) is much sillier than us. Ouch. ;)
