This month was a fun one! Nora's vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. She can now say her name, which sounds like "Nowah". She also tells us when she's happy or when characters or people look happy. She also says "dee dow" for thank you and "mop" for milk, which are basically the best. Ben often tells us what "Nora is thinking", which is, of course, his interpretation of her actions. He told us one day that she was calling him "Bob". I thought he was interpreting her thoughts again so him so I told him that I was sure she wasn't calling him Bob. I then asked her to say "Ben" and she promptly said "Bob". I guess I should trust him a bit more. Whoops! She has since settled on "Beau" as Ben's name :)
Ben is doing great! We had to take them both for COVID tests prior to some travel. Ben cried for 15-20 minutes before his nasal swab because he was so nervous :(. Immediately after the swab was taken he told us that he "liked" it. LOL. He's JUST like me - I was always very anxious before any sort of medical procedure when I was young.
Ben's learning to ride a bike! He's fallen a few times and always surprises us by immediately getting up and back on. His reading skills are improving, too. He surprises us when he's able to read words or interpret what we're spelling out loud. Ex: Me: "Craig, I'm going to hide over here and E-A-T some I-C-E-C-R-E-A-M". Ben: "Are you guys talking about ice cream???". I was hoping to use the spelling-things-out-loud tool a bit longer. Haha :).
This month was a busy one! We flew to Atlanta to visit some friends (Nora's first flight!) and then drove to California to spend Thanksgiving with family. There we got to visit Disneyland and the Huntington Library and Gardens! As a result of this trip, we had to postpone our Thanksgiving with AZ family until December. Nothing wrong with two Thanksgivings!!!
