July 2019
July was an exciting month! Ben loved the 4th of July - he got to try a hotdog for the first time and stayed up late to watch fireworks. We also were able to take a trip to Los Angeles to visit with Mema, Grandma TT and Ben's cousin, Alexander! It was a fun trip - we squeezed in a visit to Disneyland with the boys. Ben got to ride his favorites, Casey Junior and Mark Twain Riverboat. We also rode the Jungle Cruise and Dumbo, which both kiddos liked. Grandma TT and I took Alexander on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. He said it was fun, but he didn't want to do it again (too scary). I love that he is both frank and polite at the same time. LOL. Lastly, this month Ben went to his first baseball game (AZ Diamondbacks). He enjoyed watching the game and sharing tacos with Mama.
Ben is doing really well. His memory is amazing (or at least amazes me!). He remembers our trip to Flagstaff a few months back and asks to go back to see trains. Our favorite Ben-isms are: saying "teevidee" instead of TV, "pumice" instead of hummus, and "pleece cahhhhh" for police car (see video). He can count to 11 or 12, sing his ABCs, read numbers and some letters. His favorite things right now are trucks, helicopters, and airplanes. He loves the colors orange, blue and pink. Ben's still a great eater - he loves watermelon, salmon, peas, carrots, hummus, pickles and cheese (or anything that's on mom's and/or dad's plate).
We are excited for next month when we get to take Ben to Utah for a conference and then to Atlanta to visit friends!!!
