2 Years!!!
Ben turned 2 years old on Tuesday!!! It's been such a fun two years!!! Ben's learning so fast. For a while now he's been good at telling us what he wants, but this month he's gotten really good at telling us what he doesn't want. Our favorite Ben quote this month is "DON'T SMELL ME, VINCENT!!!". Ben's also doing a great job counting to ten and saying his ABCs. He's walking really well and running some, too, but had a few falls at school, which ended with a busted lip and bruised eye :(.
We've had an exciting month. Auntie Juliana passed through Phoenix for a visit. Ben called her "Lalana" at first, but eventually got her name right :). Craig took Ben to the McCormick Stillman Railroad Park in Scottsdale to check out the model trains and then Nonna took him to the railroad park again a few weeks later. We also went to the Phoenix Zoo a couple of times to ride the tram and to the aquarium. For Ben's birthday, we had a small party at home with Nonna, Uncle Joe and Aunt Debbie. We tried to include everything that he likes: trains, Mickey Mouse, dinosaurs, balloons, and sharks. Ben got a birthday pie instead of a cake, but basically ignored the pie and went for ice cream instead :). He enjoyed playing with balloons, his new train set (thank you Whitney & fam!), and shark shoes (thanks Debbie & Joe!)! After the festivities Craig, Ben, Nonna and I left for Flagstaff for a few days to enjoy some cool weather. There we visited the Pioneer Museum where Ben got to see a train engine and caboose, the Flagstaff Visitors Center and Historic Train station, and the Lowell Observatory. Ben loved seeing the trains go by every 15 minutes. Now we're back home and looking forward to our California trip in May!
