July 2024!

Happy Fourth! It was well over 100 degrees when we were lighting sparklers :(. At this point in the summer we basically rush from one air conditioned space to another. It's even too hot to walk early in the morning (~95 degrees!). We REALLY need that vacation home in Scotland...

Speaking of travel, Craig was out of town for most of July - he went to South Korea for a conference, so I took the kids to try some Korean food. I (stupidly) didn't consult our Korean friends and ended up at a place that serves more trendy Korean food and not traditional. He also spent a week in Texas and a few days in Boston! The kids and I entertained ourselves (and kept cool) by visiting their favorite place, Ikea (lol), and watching late night storms on the sofa.

The kids are doing well! They're getting much easier to handle while Craig's out of town. Nora's teachers gave her a "Future President" award at school. She's definitely a leader, but I'm not sure she has the diplomatic skills yet (at least not with her brother lol).

Baking soda, vinegar chemistry demo. They don't care as much about the actual reaction as I would like LOL.
