June was a great month, not only because it is my birth-month (happy birthday to meeeeee!), but we also got to travel to Houston to see Nonna! We had lots of fun adventures with her. We spent some time at Surfside Beach where Ben collected clams, snails and hermit crabs and Nora made friends with a dead fish. Little did we know, there was a huge fish kill the day we left (I think a result of decreased oxygen in the water column from high seawater temps?), so her fish friend was likely just the beginning :(. We found out that Nora is like me and isn't a huge fan of the beach. She kept telling me "This is BORING, mom!". Ben had a blast, though!!! We also went to the Kemah Boardwalk for an afternoon and Moody Gardens.
Craig traveled to Crete for a conference later in the month. He brought the kids t-shirts, taffy, and olives!). One of these days we'll take them with us - not sure Nora is quite ready to be on a flight that long just yet :).
Fun dinner at Shake Shack!
Made it to Houston! Ben and Nora are glad to be off the plane.Surfside Beach! Some snail friends.Thinking about digging in the sand (?)Now she's digging! Ben, Craig and Nonna are in the water in the background :)Nora says "NOPE". Nora and her bestie. She wanted to take this poor fish home.Storm rolling in at the end of the day.Checking out someone's sandcastle.Coming back in from the beach. He would have stayed out there all day!

Ben ventured out of his comfort zone to try out some rides. He DID NOT like this one. Craig (middle right) on the Boardwalk Bullet. The couple behind him LOL.
Moody Gardens! This place was amazing. And perfect for Ben and Nora who love both birds and aquatic life.
Ben's soccer camp! Coach Fitzroy was THE BEST. He nick-named Ben "Broccoli" LOL. Unfortunately, Ben was a bit intimidated by the other kids. Hopefully we can build his confidence :)Trying out mom's birthday water balloons :)
Learning how to make pancakes and eggs while dad is in Greece.
I asked them what they wanted to do while dad was out of town and they said "go to Ikea!". Um, okay! (it was actually a lot of fun)
