December 2020!!!
2020 has been a long, strange ride for all of us. Thankfully we had a lot of good that accompanied the bad :). We have an absolute TON of pictures from December, so I'm breaking the post up into separate December and Christmas posts.
Nora turned 7 months old in December! She's crawling like a champ and eating just about everything. She likes to kick her feet up in her high chair while she's eating. Lol. She's saying "ba-ba", "ma-ma" and "ga-ga" (and lots of other indecipherable noises). Our favorite is the battle cry she lets out when she's about to attack a toy or get somethings she's not supposed to have (like Vincent's food). Ben calls it her banshee scream. She's cruised along the edge of our bed frame a few times. She has the right combination of fearlessness, agility and ambition to walk in the next few months, I think. She's already tried walking to me a few times, but just ends up falling.
Ben is doing great. He's always there with a silly song or story (his favorite made up song of late is "stinky sock" - If you have one in your house, it'll be STINK-AY!!!). Here are some Ben-isms for this month:
- Thinking "tartar sauce" is the funniest word ever. Seriously - he giggles any time we say it.
- Yelling "I CAN'T GET MY EYEBROWS UP!!!" when he's upset and can't relax.
- Saying extracted when he means distracted. Example: "Nora is the most extracted baby ever" (commenting on Nora's inability to sit still while she's eating).
- Saying extroyed when he means destroyed. "I extroyed the tower!!!"
- Naming everything either Danny and Rupert.
- When asked to put the bathroom hand towel back on its ring "That's too hard for a kid like me."
Now that Craig is cancer-free we got in to a lot of adventures this month - we visited with Auntie Juliana and Grandma TT (all of us tested negative for COVID and/or had been in full quarantine). Ben went ice skating for the first time - he loved it! We visited the farmers market, zoo, the crazy Christmas light house in our neighborhood, the botanical garden and the local park!
