December 2019!
December is always a lot of fun - especially with a 2.5 year old who's just figuring out the whole present thing :). Nonna was still in town for the start of the month, so we got in a few more activities with her before she went back home. Ben loves to cook - we're trying to give him as much practice as possible, so we tried a french yogurt cake recipe that's written for kids. We also visited the crazy holiday lights house in our neighborhood where Ben's favorites were the Christmas train and the bubble machine. Christmas was great - Ben loved meeting Santa Claus. He asked for a tree and a truck. He didn't quite get the presents thing at first, but caught on pretty quick. Aunt Debbie and Uncle Joe visited the weekend after Christmas, but we forgot to take a picture :(.
Ben has decided that he really likes Prince. Right now his favorite song is Raspberry Beret. This is a much needed break from Baby Shark and other kids songs :). One of Ben's favorite things to eat is salmon (yay!). I asked him the other day if he wanted chicken, pizza or a hamburger from the kids menu and he asked "Do they have salmon?". Fortunately the accommodated us (why are kids menus so unhealthy anyway?!?). Potty training went well in November and early December, but we had a bit of a setback over the break. Seems he was too preoccupied playing with toys to take potty breaks, so we had to start back with the timer. Hopefully things get back to normal when school starts back up in January!
Happy Holidays and New Year to everyone!!!

Some karate moves while waiting for Santa.
