18 months!!!

Ugh. I'm running so late on this one! Ben turns 1.5 years old on Oct 23rd!!! He weighs 28 lbs and is 34.5 inches tall, which makes me a little sad because he's now too big to rock to sleep :(. Ben's doing great - he's walking and talking a lot. His favorite words are are outside, bird and airplane. He continues to surprise us by stringing words together - "dada sleeping", "hi momma", "do it", "get that", etc. He also LOVES brushing his teeth - crazy kid.

Over the past week or so Ben has started waking up a bit earlier than normal (between 3-5 am instead of between 6-7). Seems like he's going through a bit of sleep regression. He's also not eating as much in one sitting - it seems he's a little extra distracted during meals :). I'm pretty sure the two are related and he's actually waking up early because he wants to eat. Gotta work on focusing his attention during meals so we can sleep :).

This month we didn't do much traveling. We visited the Phoenix Zoo a few times and the Desert Botanical Gardens. At the DBG we visited the butterfly pavilion where Ben pointed to all of the pretty "foo-flies". We also attended Fall Festival at his daycare, where we colored, played in a jungle gym, and ate cotton candy (well, mom ate cotton candy).
